This exercise is fully described in the students' Lab Manual.   It is an opportunity for you and your students to exercise ingenuity in designing independent projects.

There is one important constraint.   This lab involves research on human subjects.   It has been approved by the Arts and Sciences Institutional Review Board for Research on Human Subjects.   Consequently, a few basic rules must be followed.

In particular, it is important to make sure that each student has the instructions in the Lab Manual, including the rules concerning human research.  

The Teaching Assistant should go over

• the general rules for human research (this part can be quick) and

• the specific rules for this exercise (these must be followed).
