Reports on scientific articles

Use the form for reading reports (see the link "READING REPORT FORM" on the home page).

If you want to type your report, use the same headings (and the same number of lines under each question) as in the READING REPORT FORM.   Use 12 point or larger type (if you use Times, make it 14 point!).

The purpose of the form is to focus on important components of papers and to describe them in sentences that can be used for discussion.

For instance, write a sentence (2 lines at most) that can describe the general issue addressed by the paper.   And another one to state the specific aim of the study.   Then write a short paragraph (15 lines at most) that describes what the study actually did (species studied, location, procedures that are important for understanding the results) . . . and so on.

Read . . . think . . . write . . . tell everybody else about it!
